Our plan was to establish a composting trial within the shire to determine feasibility of adoption by the local farmers, and to produce compost material that complies with the Australian Standard AS4454 for Composts, Soil Conditioners and Mulches. The main objective was to produce a product that could be sold at a lower |
cost than conventional fertilizers with the additional benefit of adding organic matter to the soil. In doing this, we found that the composted straw and pig manure provided a balanced mix of nutrients in a slow-release organic form, and this is how Enviro 2100's Composted Soil Conditioner was born! |
